When Love isn't Fair...

Sometimes love doesn't make sense. Sometimes you're still trying to find yourself and truly don't know what or who is good for you. Love can be overwhelming, lift you off the ground and simply blow your mind, but as amazing as it can be, it can also be unfair, unexplainable, hurtful and leave you utterly clueless. This chapter tells the story from James' point of view and will ultimately leave the reader a bit surprised by the end of it. ENJOY! :)

Have you ever dated someone for their popularity?

High school is of an emotionally roller coaster ride. It's a time when everyone is still trying to fit in and figure out who to be - and how to act! Being a part of a group somehow feels good and like everyone is a part of something great. It seems like a safe choice to be a part of or even just close to the popular groups as they know what to do/be/act/have an opinion of/be in the know of... but is it in fact that? What's your HONEST high school experience? ;) :)

It's in that KISS

Have you ever felt like somethings was leading up to a certain moment? As if is was inevitable and just meant to be? I believe that you can always feel it in the kiss if the love is sincere or not. In this chapter, I'm playing with the irony of true love or love, two friends getting together in a moment of weakness... the connection between the two of them is undeniable! Or is it?

Champagne

How do you prefer to camp? Outside in the wild or as they do in my novel "Misunderstood - Secrets of a Teen Queen"? I couldn't imagine Enya Utzon and her posh friends hanging out in the wild. Yet, they're still teenagers and wanna do it all, so I created an alternative setting for a "campsite" hangout. When I for the first time came to "The Standard" I couldn't ignore the beautiful metropolitan evening view over the city of Los Angeles. I absolutely loved it. It's breathtaking, so when in my book I wanted to find a setting for a stylish outside Campfire à la Hollywood (and not a real camp), I knew that this was the perfect setting for it with the cozy outside lounge area, view and vibe.

The Inner Struggle of a Teen Queen

Have you ever wondered who your true friends are? And wondered if your friends really understand who you are inside? This chapter reflex the inner struggle of the protagonist, Enya Utzon: A girl who has everything but true love! Everyone at Bel Air High School wants to get close to her and be associated with her. Seen from the outside her life seems like a dream scenario, however, it can be quite the challenge when it comes to identifying who Enya Utzon's true friends are - And even being true to her own heart as it's sometimes just easier being and playing a part that is expected of Enya. Especially since she's a teen still trying to figure out her life and who she really is inside!

Could it be? No wait... Mr. Alexandro!

I wanted to create the perfect setting of girliness, but underneath hides secrets and a past that comes up to haunt the main character, Enya Utzon, Fashionista and Teen Queen. To my mind, the reality isn't black and white and no characters are perfect. Especially not the ones who seem so! What's your take on this excerpt? Does it intrigue you to get more insight into the "perfect" Teen Queen's past? Please leave a comment! XOXO AnYa.

Oddly Feathered Corsage

Have you ever gotten a corsage that you wish you hadn't? Or maybe been in a situation where you just felt cornered by your friends? Enya Utzon is a strong female character with her own mindset - and followers for that matter! But even at times she - and in this case - accept certain things that she otherwise wouldn't have, because she cares about people in her life (aka Michael and Amanda) and doesn't want to hurt their feelings. Have you ever felt like that?

The Wall of Secrets

Have you ever been in doubt about if something really happened or not? I like adding a bit of mystery and confusion to my stories and this part is the first clue in a series of clues about the main character, Enya Utzon's, mysterious past that she's so deeply ashamed of! The Recipe for True Happiness?

What is your idea of happiness in life? Money? Beauty? Fame? Popularity? Social Status? What would make you feel truly happy? I created the fictional character, Enya Utzon, who has all of the above. Enya is a real Teen Queen - And she knows it! Only question is: "Does any of it really lead to TRUE HAPPINESS?"
