It was a warm Saturday evening and our group had decided to get together for a campfire. In reality, this really meant more of an open barbeque; and in true Hollywood style, we had rented “The Standard” on Sunset for the perfect outside setting.
The mood had been created by all white interiors. In the arrival hall was an Asian girl in a white silk nightgown lying inside a glass case reading a book. When I mentioned my name in the reception, the woman nodded and a tall man with slick hair in a white suit then showed us to the outside area that they had set up for us.
The area outside was near one of the hotel bars and next to the pool, and there were two open, white tents with cozy big pillows inside where we could relax. In front of the white tents, they had set up two large barbeques and some white sofa chairs around them. On a table with a white cloth over it next to the barbeques, were a bowl of marshmallows and S’mores ready to be roasted. Within a few minutes we had all gotten comfortable in the outside area, which had a colorful and breathtaking view of Los Angeles city by night. The waiter brought us bubbly alcohol-free champagne as well, and the setting was right for a perfect campfire evening à la Hollywood style.
