“Perfect timing and perfect choice of drink – my favorite!” I thought and raised my glass too, and took a small sip of the pink, delicious drink.
“Oh my gosh! Who is that?” Amanda asked and pointed at some tall, blond stranger at the nearest white bar.
“I don’t know. I haven’t seen him before!” Jenny answered wondering.
“He’s cute!” Amanda giggled and blushed, as she started her curl-twisting, the way she always does when she gets nervous or confused about something.
“Amanda, can we ever have a girl-moment, where you don’t think or talk about boys?” Alice shook her head smiling, and we all laughed.
“I’ll try,” Amanda giggled and raised her glass, “To us!”
As I raised my glass again, I noticed something. It was a note or wait… a nametag was stuck on the side of the glass!
“Euuuu…” I had already had a sip of someone else’s drink. Wait… The name… It said…
MR. ALEXANDRO!!!”
“CLIRRRRRRRRRR!!!”
I instantly dropped the glass. The sound of the crystal glass shattering into a thousand pieces went through the upstairs hall like an echo. Everyone around us stopped their chatter and looked at me, and the pink liquid on the marble floor. Embarrassing!
“Are you okay, sweetie?” Jenny asked concerned.
“Oh. I’m fine. The glass just slipped. You know, it happens!” I laughed concealing my worrying by the reminder of that name. Could it be? No! It wasn’t possible. It must have been a coincidence! My mind had been imagining things ever since those mysterious texts started appearing. I shook my head and before I knew it, a waiter had handed me a new drink and the mess on the floor was gone.
“Amazing service. That’s at least something,” I thought, as I was still in a bit of a shock.
