A Wild Rose in Spring

Romance

Maybe life was not as black and white as Kasey Quinn wanted it to be. It seemed her life had been determined before she was born. The schools she would attend, the clothes she wore, the people she called her friends and the day she would take her place in the family business. But fate had a different plan for Kasey’s life. A predetermined plan that was set in motion years before, when the lives of five people converged and her journey with Sean McKenna began. I hope you will enjoy book two of this romantic trilogy. The Celtic Rose Trilogy is an interconnected trio of novellas about two sisters Kasey and Katelin Quinn. The sisters are identical twins who learn that their perfect world is not what it seems to be. The discovery of their biological father, secret’s their mother kept from them, and a faded photograph, will change their lives in ways they could never imagine. This series takes place in both America and Ireland, spans four generations, and explores the pitfalls of love, the importance of loyalty, and what it means to be a part of something bigger than you. I hope you will enjoy the journey!

What traditions are important to you?

My Celtic heritage is a big part of who I am. The importance of celebrating that heritage was something I wanted to convey in the Celtic Rose Trilogy. Beannachtai na Feile Padraig oraibh!

Have you ever lost your way?

"A Wild Rose in Spring," explores the idea that we are all destined for something and/or someone. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, and as long as I follow my heart, I will never lose my way.

Irish Symbols

For the Celts, symbols like the shamrock, the Claddagh, and the Celtic cross hold incredible power and meaning in their lives. The stories behind these symbols have been passed on from one generation to another allowing Ireland’s rich history and Celtic tradition to live on today. I wear a Celtic cross around my neck to remind me where I came from, and maybe one day it will lead me back home.

Sharing my love of Ireland...

My goal when choosing Ireland as the backdrop for The Celtic Rose Trilogy was to give you, the reader, a glimpse of Ireland's immense beauty and reinforce the notion that... "Your feet will take you where your heart is." Isn't that what we all desire?

Do you believe in destiny?

In Mythology, it is believed that there are three goddesses that dispense fate Moirai (of Greek Mythology), Parcae (of Roman Mythology), and Norns (of Norse Mythology). Each one determines fate through the mystic spinning of threads; those threads represent our individual fates. The Chinese believe that this thread of fate connects us to the one we are destined to meet, and even though the thread may stretch or tangle it will never break. Destiny is a subject I explore in the Celtic Rose Trilogy and specifically in "A Wild Rose in Spring." Kasey Quinn thought her life had been determined before she was born, but fate had a different plan for Kasey’s life. A predetermined plan that was set in motion years before, when the lives of five people converged and her journey with Sean McKenna began.

What is your favorite city?

"Your feet will take you where your heart is." --Irish Proverb. Kasey Quinn returns to Dublin, where she lived with Sean McKenna for nearly four years. Kasey soon discovers that her heart belongs in Ireland.

Gone but not forgotten!

Kasey Quinn tried to run from the inevitable--her feelings for Sean. But some things are not easily forgotten.

Location, Location, Location...

The Celtic Rose Trilogy celebrates Kasey and Katelin Quinn’s Irish heritage. The two sisters find a postcard, faded by time, it leads Kasey and Kate on a journey back to her mother’s birthplace, where they discover that their Irish roots run much deeper than they imagined. The locations in the Trilogy were inspired by my home state Colorado, as well as, my own Irish heritage and a connection to the "little island with the big heart," that ran deeper than I imagined.
