Jane coughed and wheezed as she breathed the dusty air. Keiser was worse than she expected. It looked like someone pulled it out of one of those old western movies. The buildings were oversized boxes made with cheap wood. They were also built so close together that a rat couldn’t squeeze through the cracks. She was surprised that they didn’t just go ahead and leave the roads dirt.
However, they drove deeper into the town. It began to look a bit more civilized. The buildings still look bland however, they were more evenly spaced and sturdy. As Zeb searched for a hotel, Jane noticed a street that led to another section of Keiser. She just managed to see patches of green. It seemed they separated a region for farming from the city. It reminded her of Mesick. She couldn’t believe it’s been days since they were there.
