The fourth surprise occurred two weeks later. I was asked to teach a bible study at the last minute for a pastor who had another commitment. I related this same story as a lesson about following the will of God.
“I don’t know what happened to John, but I believe God did something.” I said.
A hand went up. It was John. I had no idea he was a part of this group. “Do you want to know what happened?” He asked.
We all did. It turns out the next day, after the doctor ran more tests; he cancelled surgery and sent John home with a follow-up appointment.
When John went to the doctor’s office he was amazed to learn the brain aneurysm had disappeared from the scans. The doctor also informed him that his fifty something body now housed the circulatory system of a man in his twenties. That was surprise number five.
Surprise number six was a request from the doctor for John to give his testimony. This was to be done as part of a lecture entitled Modern Day Miracles for a class of graduating medical students.
