Tab and Cyris get close
Cyris sat on the floor watching Clareece sleep. It had been almost a year since he had had a woman in his bed. The room was dark from the night, but he could sense her. Her breath reminded him of Tabytha. He felt a wave of power well up in him, as if it was a memory that needed to be remembered.
He squinted and try to force it back to where it had been buried. It was a beautiful memory of a time not so long ago. He didn’t like the good memories. They hurt more than the painful ones. But he knew; he needed to remember. He swallowed and let the energy run its course. He opened his mouth, and the memory began to play in his mind.

“What is the use of a power that you don’t use?” Tabytha asked. Her angular nose and dark eyes were close to him. He could smell her breath. Bitter and dark from coffee. “You can’t hurt me.”
He looked into her dark eyes, felt the warmth of her clothed body lying on his. “I don’t think it will hurt you,” he said. “But I think it may change us.”
She quickly kissed his lips and then sat up on their bed. “I would think it would only make us closer.”
He smiled and turned on his side to face her. “I should not have told you about that power.”
“You obviously had an ulterior motive. Maybe you just wanted to get into my pants.”
“I think I could have gotten in your pants without the use of the power.”
“Then why haven’t you?”
“I don’t work like that,” he said reach and pressing his hand on her heart. Tabytha reached down and pressed her hand against his crotch.
“That’s not what I feel,” she said tilting her head.
He squirmed under her touch and she removed her hand. “Besides, the last time I used it, I ended up in the basement of a 2 story building. I don’t even think the person I was with enjoyed it. You probably wouldn’t either.”
