Charlie and her roommates along with their friends could have never imagined that, after the birthday party of the night before, their morning would take a twisted turn with a macabre discovery: a box containing the head of a stranger.
Because of their different personalities and also because of another unfortunate event, they can't decide on the right way to deal with it.
Their disagreement ultimately triggers heated arguments and unsuspected passions. And as the story unfolds, the strain of their situation will take their relationship with one another to the very edge.
Yet most shocking will be the answer to the main question that is on everyone's mind: who is the man whose head ended up in the box and... who brought the box into their apartment?
Born in Cameroon, a country often said to be a miniature version of Africa, Christian P. Kemabia discovered his passion for writing in his late teens after having been introduced to the works of the literary greats such as Charles Dickens, Ernest Hemingway, Phillip K. Dick not to mention heavy-weights of European literature like Henry Troyat, Georges Simenon just to name but a few.
Since then, writing and particularly storytelling have become a big part of his life; something that he uses constantly to understand the world and the people around him. For he strongly believes that stories have the ability to help us answer the riddles of life all the while being entertaining.
He currently lives in Los Angeles, CA, where he recently graduated from a film school and can now write to his heart’s content.
While I was writing this little piece, I almost laughed at the fact that every morning, I spend a few minutes in the bathroom staring at myself in the mirror.
All the signs I see, though, are the signs of aging.

Head in the Box
Charlie stood in front of the bathroom sink, eyes unmoving, staring forward. She was shrouded at the bosom by a rosy-colored towel. After a good night sleep (or even after bad ones), she always took a moment for herself just to listen to her thoughts. It was so easy not to listen. When you didn’t, you went on wondering why, on any given day, you strangely felt consumed by such and such unrecognizable feelings. But all it took was a close listen to see the warning signs.
