Charlie and her roommates along with their friends could have never imagined that, after the birthday party of the night before, their morning would take a twisted turn with a macabre discovery: a box containing the head of a stranger. Because of their different personalities and also because of another unfortunate event, they can't decide on the right way to deal with it. Their disagreement ultimately triggers heated arguments and unsuspected passions. And as the story unfolds, the strain of their situation will take their relationship with one another to the very edge. Yet most shocking will be the answer to the main question that is on everyone's mind: who is the man whose head ended up in the box and... who brought the box into their apartment?

From the title on the book cover, what Charlie will find in the box is pretty obvious at this point. As I was writing the scene, I also thought up an alternate scenario in which two unsuspecting characters do find a head in a box in their work place. That scene, however, has a comedic spin to it. Morning Ritual
While I was writing this little piece, I almost laughed at the fact that every morning, I spend a few minutes in the bathroom staring at myself in the mirror. All the signs I see, though, are the signs of aging.

In 2011, October 22 was a Saturday; and something terribly shocking did happen to me that day, though not as terribly shocking as to what happens to the characters of this story. On that day, I watched for the very first time, the movie called 'The Thing.' by John Carpenter. The movie came out in the 80's, I believe. Anyone who has watched that movie will understand why I was so SHOCKED out of my mind.
