Overview

Years of wandering the woodlands, swamps, hills, and farmlands in search of the elusive whitetail deer have brought me closer to recognizing the presence of God in the magnificence of His creation. It is impossible to canoe a remote river, camp for an evening on a northern lake, or walk through deep woods without feeling His presence.

When I do any of these things, I realize that I am truly a guest inside God's Cathedral, and thankfulness overwhelms me.

"Hunter" is a word that implies a living entity looking for something of perceived value, normally hidden, or lost, that must be sought after.

The hunter is seeking- as an animal hunts for food.

"Bowhunter" more closely defines a human seeking any number of things encountered while exploring open spaces. The term is applied to man, woman, or child, without identifying the goal which will make their hunt a success. I offer my thoughts, and I expect the vast majority of bowhunters will agree with my reasons for going afield with bow and arrow.

The anticipation of the camaraderie experienced among good friends, or the simple joy experienced while alone, sharing with your soul the silence and remoteness of a place I call, "God's Cathedral".

A place where untold riches are revealed to those who seek.
