I watched Dugal enter the council chamber just as I approached, so he did not see me. When I took my seat at the table he gawked openly, unable to hide his surprise.
I laughed. “Yes, Lord Dugal, I am a seer. Now you know why I had to travel with you when you came to Bargia. My apprenticeship is over. Once again, I thank you and your men for rescuing me. You have done Earth a great service.”
Gaelen gave him no time to respond. “So you see, Lord Dugal, how Liannis’ confidence in you has affected our willingness to hear your cause. She has assured us that you can be trusted.”
