Woon sized up his opponent. He was Huge. The five-foot-seven slimly muscled officer’s training let him keep the wicked looking spikes protecting the lungs next to the shoulders in his peripheral vision. The ape-like upright being’s hands also had roughly sown skin gloves adorned with sharpened spikes; probably bones or tusks from kills. Automatically, Woon focused in the distance, looking over the creature’s right shoulder. As a result, he was ready when the hairy upright leapt forward, fist thrusting right towards his face. The thing was quick, really quick, but he was slightly quicker – just enough to have only one spike scratch his cheek. No real damage.
Woon stayed in close and spun around behind the foe. He grabbed the upper arms aggressively, because the shoulders were dressed with the spikes, and the forehead was too high. To aid the bit of knock-down force, he spun back to the front of the thing again and pushed with force at the mid-section with the heels of his palms. The blow to the upright’s centre of gravity was a success. The already tippy creature fell.
