They strolled along the sidewalks and marveled at the beautiful reds, golds, and russets of the maple leaves throughout the garden. The walls of dahlias were breathtaking and showcased the variety of blooms in purple, orange, fuchsia, and white. Some of them were soft yet spiky, like sea anemone, and others full and lush. They lined the first pathway, for what looked like miles.
Next they encountered lush beds of snapdragons standing watch over bright lobelia plants. Along the path they encountered gorgeous chrysanthemums in deep purple, copper, white, and yellow, plus one of Linda’s favorites, the graceful hydrangea in a stunning periwinkle blue.
They strolled through a thriving forest to arrive at the rim of the Sunken Garden.
