I've got a secret...I don't drink coffee. This meant I had to do some research into the huge variety of coffee drinks available. For this scene I remember checking out the specs on lots of machines and watching several videos on how to be a barista. I love the smell of coffee, but never developed a taste for it. I'm more like Sam and enjoy a good cup of tea.

Finding Home
She concentrated on using the steam wand, making sure it kissed the surface of the milk at the correct angle and heard the high pitch hiss as the milk warmed and foam appeared. She lowered the pitcher and moved the wand slightly to the side, causing the milk to spin into a vortex and the noise changed to a softer whoosh. The froth was shiny and smooth, like thickened cream. She shut off the steam and wiped down the wand. She softly shook the pitcher to mix the milky froth and began pouring it into the espresso. She did her best to jiggle the thick froth into a heart shape as she reached the top of the cup. She presented the warm cup to Hayley.
