“It was. So I hope all your physicians are wounded.”
“Why does Jung say the healer has to be wounded to heal?”
“Because suffering makes us wiser and more compassionate. Most of us want our burdens lifted, but it’s in bearing them that we become who we were meant to be, more aware that we’re all one, more enlightened. At least that’s what I think he meant.”
“Ah, sort of like Rumi’s idea that the wound is the place where the light enters,” Julia said.
