Shannon McRoberts writes epic fantasy and urban fantasy books while living in the rolling hills of Kentucky. Shannon is a lover of all kinds of fantasy but enjoys watching her collection of favorite shows like Xena, Buffy, Firefly, Fairy Tail, Game of Thrones, and Farscape. When she's not busy with taking care of her family, binge watching Netflix, or making fantasy art, she is at her computer weaving myths and magic featuring women of grit and steel.
When I started this story I knew it needed to be written in first person and multiple POV. I knew what Athine looked like in my head, but how did I tell somebody that in a book written in first person. Enter the vision of the girl that would destroy them all!
AS MUCH AS I DISLIKE Eir, she had been right. She had foreseen Athine injure me years before it all played out. She even described what Athine would look like. A sultry beauty perfectly blended between the three bloodlines. She would have the beauty of her mother, the passion of her grandfathers, and the mystique of her father. She would stand shorter than an average Ximirian goddess and would have raven streaked hair. Her skin would be like alabaster and her magic would be more powerful than anyone could imagine. Even as the blood dripped down my arm, I could feel the magic of Athine still in my wound. It seemed to linger in the area trying to eat at my very essence.
