It may as well be said right upfront: Fat People will not survive the Apocalypse.
It’s offensive, I know. I’m sorry; that can’t be helped. Some of my best friends (back before they read this chapter) used to be Fat People. Shakespeare, in Julius Caesar, put it this way:
Caesar: I want the men around me to be fat, healthy-looking men who sleep at night. That Cassius over there has a lean and hungry look. He thinks too much. Men like him are dangerous.
Like Caesar, everyone likes chubby, jolly people … they tend to be sweet natured, gentle-hearted, kindly folk – the kind who’ll give you the shirt off their back, or share their last crust of bread (60/40) … they make great listeners, and can always be counted on to offer a (large, soft,) sympathetic shoulder to cry on …
Sadly, these people make excellent Zombie-food.
