Morgaine smiled quizzically and asked, “Pardon me My Lady, but if I could have the honor of who I converse with and that of the God you wish me to help?” Morgaine learned long ago that more than one God could be petty when proper manners weren’t used. Morgaine thanked every deity she knew of that Igraine had drilled proper manners into to her as a child.
“Your manners serve you well child of fate. My name is Sigyn and my husband goes by Loki,” she informed Morgaine politely.
It took Morgaine a while to place the names. But when she did, Morgaine was dumbstruck. For centuries she had been fighting invaders and now one of them was asking for help. Morgaine held her breath, reigning in her temper before exclaiming, “Saxons?”
