“The dastardly bastards. This is beyond the pale. It is beyond my comprehension the government hacked your computer, but perhaps I shouldn’t be surprised. Given the opportunity they will squelch free speech at the drop of a hat. That’s how big government works. These imbeciles now in charge have not a modicum of respect for the First Amendment. I’m of a mind to call a news conference and filet the mindless idiots. This is intolerable, simply intolerable.”
“Calm down, Irving,” said Charles.
But Irving wasn’t done.
“Do these ignoramuses not understand we have a Constitution? Are they so ill-informed of history as to not know we are a country of laws, not some third-rate banana republic? My God, the rule of law means nothing to these scoundrels. Who do they think they are to violate the privacy rights of an American citizen? We shall sue them, Charles. By God, we’ll hang their hides on the courthouse door.”
“We’ll skin them, Irving. You can be sure of that, but we can’t if you’re in prison for inciting a riot.”
Irving laughed, “I suppose you’re right, my boy. I do tend to take it personally. After all, I worked fifty years to keep this sort of thing from happening. But fear not, Charles. I shall behave prudently.”
“Good, I’ll need you in your most lucid state.”
“That you shall have, Charles. How shall we attack these hooligans?”
