“You didn’t act like you were in love with me.”
“I know, but I didn’t feel like you felt the same way, so I wasn’t about to put myself out there.”
Kayla sat there trying to figure out was this man serious. Maybe he was feeling this way because he was in a weak moment. In his defense, he was acting different that night at the club. She went over to where he was, sat forward on his lap, and put her arms around him.
“So, how do you feel now?” she asked, knowing what he would say.
“Nothing’s changed, if anything, it’s a little deeper.”
He pulled her forward by the face and passionately kissed her on the lips. Her body went from room temperature to boiling hot in six seconds. She didn’t know if it was the fact that she was turned on by him, could have been the champagne, or that she hadn’t had any loving in over seven months, but she was ready to go full speed ahead.
