The first two words every dog learns is NEW PUPPY because he IS the NEW PUPPY. Then he learns other words, such as Aw, CUTE! And his new name.
So when a dog’s mumma starts saying NEW PUPPY after he’s no longer a new puppy, that means someone else is coming to live with him. And he’ll have to share everything, including his mumma and dad. But if there’s one thing worse than NEW PUPPY, it was NEW BABY.
Thank goodness no one in their dog party group had heard those awful words. Tali knew he should be grateful it was only a new puppy instead of a new baby. He’d heard horror stories about NEW BABY. When NEW BABY came, sometimes OLD DOG had to go.
