Honestly, I’d never thought of myself as gay. Yeah, I had a thing for men but never acted upon it. I’d never had a girlfriend, but I’d dated and had sex with a few women. But the guy pulled a foreign response from me that was…inviting.
“Let me get this straight.”
Bad choice of words given the circumstance.
“You’re not here to rob me or anyone else?”
“Naw. Just passing through.”
Yeah. That sounded off even to my ears.
“You live here?”
Who was he? The fucking welcoming committee?
I made eye contact, ready to put the dude in his place, and wished I hadn’t.
Damn it! He stole my breath. My thoughts jumbled, and I couldn’t remember what the hell I was about to say.
He leaned against his car like a damn GQ model and smiled.
That did it. Time to get the hell out of there. Then, I heard the sirens. The police! If Rico and the gang saw me, I’d be arrested for sure.
