Tears started to fall from her eyes. Akeem held up his right hand and, whispered something. Out of nowhere a white handkerchief suddenly appeared in his hand. He gave it to Wanda who buried her face in the cloth.
In a tearful voice she said “My poor Mathew. He and Ivy did not deserve to die like that. Damn those investigators. They try to blame little Violet for their deaths instead of trying to find the people who killed my son and his wife.”
June offered to take her mother outside. Wanda told her it would not be wise for her to step out of the courtroom and, she would go alone. Akeem told Meg to go with her grandmother.
After the two of them left Akeem said “the only good part about this. Is that once this trial is over we will never have to see your sister and her husband again.”
June said “I just don’t get them when Drusilla and Victor despite the travel restrictions somehow flew here from Brazil. I assumed that they had taken that risk to honor my brother by trying to help the family. But when they started to demand we let them take Violet. I, I nearly fainted.”
“Yeah that was one fucked up day.”
“You know June despite their past successes with promoting pro boxers. I suspect they have gone belly up.”
