Confused, she looked down, but the only thing she saw was a frog. The frog had large red eyes, green skin with yellow, and blue streaks on the sides of its legs that stretched all the way down the amphibian’s legs connected to four orange spongy webbed feet.
Frustrated Akinyi said, “I really have gone crazy.”
The frog suddenly croaked so loud it hurt the princess’ ears. The sound made her heart jump and her ears hurt. As the beating within her chest slowly calmed down, she rubbed her ears to help alleviate the pain from the loud noise. After a moment, she looked back in the frog’s direction while wondering how any frog could be that nosey.
The frog stared back at her and said, “Please forgive me. I did not mean to be so loud.”
Akinyi stared at the frog intensely, wondering if she just saw and heard what she thought she did.
The frog stared back with a curious look on its face.
Until it finally asked, “Why are we staring at each other?”
Akinyi was frozen where she stood. Suddenly, she ran.
The frog hopped after her, shouting, “Please wait. I don’t mean you any harm!”
Akinyi stopped running without turning around and cried, “Get away from me demon!”
