At that moment detailed, magnified optical simulations of reconstructed human arms and legs began to take shape inside all the Terminal Cubes connected to TeXavvy. Overall, they resembled three-dimensional holograms which appeared randomly inside the infinite space of the Terminals. They showed in detail the layers of skin, muscle, nerves, blood vessels and bony structures so that the audience could appreciate that these synthetic constructs were absolutely identical in all respects to the real ones.
In actual fact the transmission of the programme via satellite was being picked up by the Terminals and sent to the viewers' rëceptors which communicated directly with their brains. So to the viewer, the anatomical figures, which seemed to appear all around them inside the Terminals, were indistinguishable as to look, feel, sound and smell from real living flesh.
