Psalm 133:1
How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony.
Beloved: I’m feeling at odds with the community here. I want to leave them and do my own thing. Is that wrong?
Lover: If you opt out of the community in which you live, how can you be My voice? There are relatively few on earth who listen to Me, and many who seek their own paths. Yes, you will be moving on soon, but for now you are here, and you have a role to play. Harmony doesn’t mean everyone agrees all the time. It means people treat each other with respect and agree not to let the disagreements destroy relationships. You may agree to disagree and still live in harmony. Respect for others is key. Just as different notes are in a chord, they can blend to make a rich, beautiful sound. To accomplish this effect requires three or more different sounds. Sometimes we fail to hear the beauty until there is a resolution of a disharmony. Then we appreciate the resulting beauty all the more.
42They spent their time learning the apostles’ teaching, sharing, breaking bread, and praying together. 43The apostles were doing many miracles and signs, and everyone felt great respect for God. 44All the believers were together and shared everything. 45They would sell their land and the things they owned and then divide the money and give it to anyone who needed it. 46The believers met together in the Temple every day. They ate together in their homes, happy to share their food with joyful hearts. 47They praised God and were liked by all the people. Every day the Lord added those who were being saved to the group of believers.
