"OK, so here's the modus operandi of the typical vampire. They find a couple who are very much in love. They turn one of them into a vampire, and then promise the other one a life alongside the infected one, if they are prepared to give up all their possessions - and allow themselves to be bitten as well. The one who is still currently human believes their love has remained intact, despite the change. And in the early stages that might be the case. It's not long before the newly transformed vampire begins to lose any nobler emotions, though, and all that is left is a desire for more possessions, and power, and blood. You can see the parallels with dark Nephilim in that respect. But the ones who fall into this trap have willingly given their possessions to a vampire lord - or lady - and are now their servants. One more killer amongst them, obedient only to their master."
