His published works include several non-fiction projects on a variety of topics such as Christian singleness, a spiritually based motivation book, a coffee table book honoring local senior women at his home church, a Mother’s Day coffee table book and a history of how the Bible came to be. His first fiction book is a witty and entertaining look at one man’s journey to rediscovering an authentic relationship with Christ. His second book centers on one woman’s pursuit of justice with a tinge of revenge in a small, fictional town in SC. He prides himself on writing projects that are different from each other and interesting.
Born in Florida and raised in New Jersey, Kevin lives in Columbia, SC where he is always on a search for the next great interesting book to write. His future projects may be a novel that highlights an ironic twist or a non-fiction work that has something to do with the Bible.
In this chapter, I discuss how David was seen as a shepherd by most people who knew him. Can't you imagine the whispers that trailed him as he made his way to confronting Goliath? "Isn't that Jesse's youngest son?" "Shouldn't he be home tending the sheep?" "That little boy has no business trying to take on the giant!" But God saw something great in him and David accepted God's view. At the point David put his faith in God's purpose for his life, he began to access the power of anyhow.

The Power of Anyhow
David was good at being a shepherd, but God was calling him to be great at leading a nation. Often we miss this very important point that when it comes to being called. This vital point is that God should be the initiator. Contrary to how we should be recruited in to the service for our Lord, often we manufacture His call only after we have failed in our recent endeavors. After our nasty divorce, we feel compelled to sing in the choir or take up the mantle of preaching. Unable to keep a viable job, we are suddenly inspired to write a Christian self-help book or start a new church. Bad at relationships and terrible at getting along with other people, we somehow feel qualified to give relationship advice to others. After raising hell for many years and leaving behind a trail of broken hearts, defeated dreams, crushed hopes and tainted innocence, we finally see the so-called light and declare that God has been leading us all the time. The bigger the failure in our lives, the bigger the lie we tell ourselves about what God is leading us to do.
