“Think about it…you could form your own private investigation agency, take only the cases you want to, handle them the way you know best. And Jesus, V, two thousand dollars for a few hours’ work? Give me one good reason why you should turn money like that down.”
I shrugged helplessly. “I can’t.”
“Exactly.”
I sighed and leaned over to where my laptop sat on the coffee table. “It’s probably not that easy. I can’t work under the table for that kind of money forever, and I’m not qualified.”
“I’ve never seen ‘Private Investigation’ as a class at any school, anywhere.” She scooted over and looked over my shoulder as I did an internet search for Georgia private investigator requirements. “Oh…okay, I was wrong.”
