Two lost souls, one powerful connection. As a Dom for Club Moon, Nick Santos uses bondage to alleviate his anger at being forcefully changed. And when he meets Gwen Waters, his carefully controlled world is turned upside-down. Through her, he'll learn what true self-control is and that being a vampire has its benefits.
Freshly divorced from an abusive ex-husband, Gwen doesn't want another domineering man. But when she meets Nick, a world she only fantasized about is laid before her. Can she trust a Dom who's also a vampire? And can Nick be the man she deserves?
I was a professional picture framer for ten years. Having Gwen in a frame shop felt natural for me. And with the book, I designed Artfelt Expressions as a fantasy shop. And let's face it, what vampire lover hasn't imagined a sexy vampire walking through the door?

Carnal Moon
Gwen heard a knock on the front door, but ignored it. Beth was in the showroom; she’d take care of it. Most likely the bookstore looking for their mail again. They definitely needed to do something about that.
Beth hastily walked back into the office. “Nick’s here!” Her hushed voice didn’t conceal her excitement. “And you never mentioned he looked like that. You’ve been holding out on me, girlie.”
Panic overtook Gwen as her heart slammed unmercifully against her ribs. “Crap. Is Nick aware his photos are gone?”
“Not yet. I only let him in once he said who he is.” Beth gave Gwen a dubious glance. “Need me to stall for a moment?”
Gwen wore a grateful smile. “A minute, that’s all.”
Beth chuckled and left the room.
A tremor started in Gwen’s hands as she closed the office door. She used the mirror on the back to fuss with the cardigan and cream pants. Her heart pounded against her ribs as she fluffed her hair. Talking with men didn’t come easily. With any luck, she wouldn’t trip over her words.
She took a shaky breath. Once Nick realized his photos were gone, he’d leave. Why else would he be here?
Squaring her shoulders, Gwen went to meet with destiny.

Nick glanced up from the painting, but it wasn’t Gwen entering the showroom. Instead, the woman who let him in the store eyed Nick with great interest.
“Gwen will be out in a moment.” Not-Gwen wore an approving smile, leaning against the counter. “You got here just in time. We were on our way out the door.”
“It’s safe to say I broke a few speeding laws today,” Nick replied casually. “Show prep and all that.” Nothing like a lie to start out the night.
Not-Gwen nodded. “I know how crazy art shows are.”
Nick’s attention flashed to the doorway. Gwen entered the showroom, and his breath caught. His memory didn’t do her justice. And he wanted to drown in those lovely, coffee-colored eyes. “Sorry about arriving so late.”
“No problem.” Gwen wore an apologetic smile. “Although your photos have gone out for the show. I’m afraid you wasted a trip.” Her eyes nervously followed Not-Gwen as she disappeared into the back.
Nick inclined his head. “I don’t think that at all.”
“If you want something framed, tomorrow would be better.” Gwen’s voice was full of caution.
“I’m not here for that,” Nick said. “I’m more interested in you. I haven’t forgotten our meeting three months ago. You left quite an impression on me.” Surely this had happened to her in the past. Men must notice her, despite that bashful demeanor. Yet she acted unsure of herself, like this was a new experience.
Gwen looked away with a fresh, pink bloom in her cheeks.
“I have time for coffee.” Nick gave her a nonchalant smile. “If you’re available, that is.” He realized this wasn’t the best idea, but Gwen had managed to attract his attention. If he didn’t find out more about her, he’d always regret it. And how hard was it to fake drinking coffee?
For a moment, Gwen wore an uncertain expression on her face. “Okay. It’s a short walk to Heine Brothers, about five minutes.”
Nick inclined his head. “I’m ready whenever you are.” Somehow, this vampire had landed himself a date.
