Edgar Trotter watched the man named Clark from his car on the other side of the training area. He was perhaps three hundred yards away, but with his small field glasses, Edgar could see everything. Clark was talking with another man, probably another father.
So far, this assignment was pretty boring. Clark didn’t seem to be much of a threat to Mr. Parker or any of his clients. But who was Trotter to question Mr. Parker. Besides, the pay was good, as it always was with Mr. Parker.
Anyway, it was good to learn something about the little girl. Little girls were always excellent leverage when it came to fathers.
