We all know that rumors are things that can't easily be stopped. When evil decides to spread rumors and use the crowd reaction to meet their own ends, then deceit enters the picture. But an evil person in a trusted position isn't always detected until the damage has been done. My evil characters are sneaky and vile. Take a short read and see what I mean.
Book Excerpt
The Eyes of Tokorel: The Scope of Emotion
“Yokosh said he had information about Tokorel. Said they were gearing up to attack Khizara. And, Linsora, he said you had been captured and were being held prisoner. He told tales of your bravery and resolve. He used that to whip up fervor for mounting a rescue. And, he used that fervor to convince people that they needed more than a fleet to fight Tokorel. They needed Tokorellan abilities.”
