Both Kral and Behazh made a noise that sounded, to Linsora, like a groan.
“Tell her,” Bhreagh said.
“Bhreagh, we don’t know for sure. We do know it’s unlikely,” Kral said.
Bhreagh’s voice rose, “You both know damn well for sure! What about the last ten years hasn’t been unlikely? Were you going to save it for another ugly surprise later? Tell her!”
Behazh held his hand up to forestall Linsora’s questions, Kral’s protests, and Bhreagh’s voice.
“I didn’t know how to fit it in,” Behazh said. “Tayla has been with him. She seemed to have a calming influence, but she’s not the brains. Yokosh made his move three years ago. Just before then, maybe as much as a year before, someone else arrived. Linsora, sit down and promise not to throw things. It’s Gordek.”
