“I imagine you’re curious about Tokor’s books. There are three. I have one with me now. Another is on one of the ships in orbit. The third is still on Khizara. We don’t intend to hold the books hostage, but, as I’m sure you understand, we’re not about to play all our cards at once.”
“Of course. Well, I would like to offer you our full hospitality and speak with you at length.” Harda looked at Gordek questioningly.
“Oh, forgive me, this is my aide, Gordek.”
They bowed to each other. Linsora nearly reached out to pull Gordek back to a standing position. He was supposed to be Khizaran, and Khizarans don’t bow. Harda didn’t seem to find the bow odd, but, Linsora reminded herself, he’s a trained diplomat. Even if he recognized Gordek, this was neither the place nor the time for a confrontation.
