The Eyes of Tokorel
She heard the door lock when the man left. More than a week remained of the trip to Tokorel. I can use the rest, I suppose, she thought. Time for the wounds to heal. Time to think. She slept uneasily for several days, trying to remain occupied with the artifacts that were brought to her and trying not to think about what awaited her on Tokorel. Especially, she tried not to think about Permac, but thoughts of him were constantly with her. She had seen him dead once, on Hakai. She had felt his life draining from him just days earlier.
