Matt stood looking at Andrew with his mouth agape. He started to clap slowly, obviously not as impressed as Andrew would have hoped for. “That was pretty cool. So you’re learning to be a magician, huh? You gonna be the next Criss Angel?”
Andrew stared at Matt in disbelief. “Magician? No! It has nothing to do with magic and everything to do with science and hard work!”
“Oh. Okay. Sorry,” Matt put his index finger up to his mouth and looked around. “I know how you magician types are. You prefer to call them illusions.”
Andrew ran his fingers through his hair. “It has nothing to do with magic and it’s not an illusion.”
Matt shrugged. “Okay, buddy. Whatever you say. Just that I’ve seen things like this on TV a million times. Where are the wires?”
“No! Not whatever I say. There are no wires! It’s real. I floated in the air utilizing the earth’s magnetic field.” Andrew’s voice was raising and so was his blood pressure.
Matt again placed a finger to his lips. “Shhhhhhhh. Remember, a good magician never gives away his secrets.”
Andrew put his hand on his forehead and rubbed, as if fighting off a headache. “You’re driving me crazy with this talk about magic secrets.”
