As they approached the old building at 1014 Industry Parkway, Gary stopped the car and parked on the street.
“I was thinking the same thing,” Stacy said.
“About parking on the street for a quick getaway?”
“Not so much a quick getaway as much as just a getaway, period. Have you ever wondered where that underground garage is? There is no entrance from the street, except through that light oval that appears. If that didn’t appear, how would we get in or out? What if it’s a security system? No, I was thinking that parking out here would at least give us a chance to get away from this building if we needed to.” Stacy leaned over and grabbed Gary by the shirt. She pulled him toward her and gave him a lingering kiss.
He looked at her and smiled. “What was that for?”
“Would you have preferred that it hadn’t happened?”
“No! Not at all. I love your kisses!” Gary wasn’t sure what to think.
“Then shut up and get out of the car,” she said, and opened her door.
