Yugin tapped him on the shoulder causing him to jump.
“You’ve finished the program?” Yugin asked.
“Good God, Yugin. You scared the crap out of me. Stop sneaking up on me like that,” Gary felt his heart racing.
“But you’ve finished the program, is that correct?” Yugin was as calm as always and that stupid smile that Gary had only seen leave his face one time, remained.
“Yes,” Gary said attempting to regain his composure while feeling his heart slow to normal. “Yes, I believe that I’ve completed the programming.”
“Upload it.” Yugin said.
“That’s not how it works,” Gary said, somewhat irritated that his boss was suddenly being so bossy, “and how did you know that I had completed the program? I just now thought to myself that I had completed it. I still need to run a test to make sure the programming responds the way it should. Do you realize how many errors there could be in this code? An asterisk or symbol in the wrong spot could shut down the entire program.”
“We are confident in your ability,” Yugin said. “As for how I knew that you were done, well, it’s my job to know where you are in the progress of your work.”
