Stacy walked over to a wall and put her hand on it. A door appeared.
“How did you do that?” Gary asked astonished.
“It’s all part of the alternate reality that you’ll learn about,” she smiled.
Gary walked over to the door and opened it. He stared inside at the thin, swirling light inside that filled the doorway. He could see a changing scene of destinations. “How do I know which one to go to?” he asked. “It seems to be giving a wide choice of places to jump through to.”
Stacy laughed. “First of all, you don’t ‘jump’ through to anyplace. You simply walk through the door, like you would any other door.” Stacy closed the door, left her hand on the knob and said, “Main level offices, work room.” She opened the door and the light inside shrunk down to nothing, revealing a lit hallway. “After you,” Stacy said with a mock bow and extending her arm toward the entrance.
