Congratulations! Since you have picked up this workbook, you have obviously committed to becoming an author and/or publishing your book! But, like me, I’m sure that you have questions. Just because you decide that you have something to share with others in the form of the written word, does not mean that you know what to do with those words once you have finished writing them.
But the good news is that the hard part is writing the book. Once the book is written, this part, publishing, can be very easy – especially if you have some preparation in advance. I have seen many books about the publishing process. But, when I first ventured into the world of self-publishing, what I really felt I needed was a workbook – something that would help me with the process and allow me to make my choices and decisions right in the book.
This workbook will be an awesome tool to assist you through the publishing process – whether you self-publish or have someone publish your book for you. Being educated is the first step to successfully publishing your book. Publishing a book is definitely a journey that will provide ups and downs, doubts, more details than you can imagine and ultimately excitement at the finished product. This workbook will allow you the opportunity to become educated, helps you know what to expect along the way and guides you through steps to ensure you have a successful publication and meet your publishing goals.
So, what is the first step? Identifying your goals related to your role as an author so that you are not just wandering through the process without a plan. Let us first examine, “What is your Author DNA” type?
