You may have heard the expressions “Just let it go” or “Let go and let God.” That sounds good, but what exactly are you letting go of? Here are several possibilities:
•Letting go of any expectations for a specific outcome. Keep in mind that expectations result in future resentments.
•Letting go of any illusion of control you think you have.
•Letting go of any fears you have surrounding a bad outcome.
•Letting go of the misconception that you can and need to make everything turn out okay.
•Letting go of the need to have all the facts or get all of your questions answered.
Let go of the need to know. Sometimes, you just don’t have to have all the answers.
