There were no secrets in the sixth grade. Alex watched as the girls at the locker beside him bounced thoughtless ideas back and forth about the ghost on Screaming Ridge. Their mouths worked overtime as they ignored each other’s words, and simply rambled on as if their thoughts were more important than the others. As more students returned to the locker bay, getting ready for lunch, their friends pulled them in with the ‘ghost’ gossip.
“What did I think of the story? What did you think of the story?” Alex turned to Henry; his mind was in a fog. He was still trying to digest everything. The whole thing was very overwhelming.
