Brazil
How They Qualified.
As host nation, Brazil qualified automatically, in 2013 they showed their class, winning the FIFA Confederations Cup by winning all five of their games, scoring 14 goals and only conceding three. On paper they look like they have everything, Scollari as manager, host nation, great players and the best world cup record. No wonder they are favourites.
Key Players.
At the back they have the experience of Cesar and Alves, with Ramires and Paulinho in midfield it will be difficult to stop Neymar from scoring goals and proving himself on the world stage.
World Cup Pedigree.
Brazil have the best record in the world cup finals, winning it five times in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002 and finishing second in 1950 and 1998. They have done this by playing fast exciting football and also introduced the world to most probably the greatest footballer of all time Pele. Brazil is also the only team to appear in all of the world cup finals.
