Bethany grinned again and patted the couch beside her. “Sit down and tell me all about last night.”
Not for the first time, she cursed her fair complexion. Blushes always gave her away. “Because—” She stopped, remembering she hadn’t told Bethany where to find her, because she hadn’t known herself until after they’d parted for the day. “Stop giving me the third degree, Beth. I want to know how you knew where I was.”
“With a guy I hardly know? You know me better than that!” Kari shot back, purposely forgetting to mention her early morning interlude with Damien. There were some things that even Bethany didn’t need to know, and this was one of them. Beth would never let her hear the end of it.
