One of the things that bothered me the most before I had Olivia was the negative outlook cast on a Fibro Mom. The thoughts were that pregnancy, breast feeding, and child rearing would be too hard on a mother who has chronic pain. I thought differently, of course. I think anyone with Fibro can lead a happy and normal life, they just have to go about it a little differently. This excerpt is what started the book Fibromyalgia and Pregnancy.

I’m sure most people would agree that a person in a wheelchair, or someone who is deaf, should not let a disability get in the way of having children. These people may have to parent and go through pregnancy a little differently than someone who is healthy, but they can still achieve their goal of being a parent. The same can be said for people with Fibromyalgia. Their goals can be achieved as well.
