Gordek is an enemy to Linsora, but it's imperative to him that she makes a speech to the public of a planet that she has never set foot on. In fact, no one from her home world has ever been there, but in order to find what she's looking for, being accepted is necessary. What would you do if an enemy helped you to further their own needs while helping you find yours?
The Eyes of Tokorel
A weight seemed to press on Linsora's chest, making her breath shallow. Her hands were clammy. The most important speech of her life was about to happen and all the lines she had rehearsed were nowhere in her mind. The taste of Gordek danced into her awareness, along with a sense of confidence. It was the first time she welcomed anything from him.
