Sarah’s grandmother, Elizabeth, a double amputee due to diabetes was living with them. Elizabeth requested prayer. She had cataracts and could not read her bible. We prayed and her cataracts left in a matter of minutes and she could happily read her bible again.
Her next request was to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to speak in tongues. The presence of God fell on her again but nothing happened. This was not the time and place God had ordained. In the following chapter you will see why.
She then asked for prayer for protection. She said she would see what looked like the form of a man at the door to her room, only this creature had the head of a bull. I explained the reason it could not enter her room was because she belonged to God. But, it was still frightened her. I taught her about authority and 2 Tim 1:7. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
A shepherd protects the sheep. But David said to Saul, “Your servant was tending his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and took a lamb from the flock, I went out after him and attacked him, and rescued it from his mouth; and when he rose up against me, I seized him by his beard and struck him and killed him.… 1 Sam 17:34.
I asked, “Do you know anyone involved in the occult?”
Sarah replied, “We have an uncle who asked us to go to the cemetery at night to dig up body parts. We said no.”
I then asked, “Where does he live?”
“Across the street from where we used to live. He lives in the woods,”Sarah replied.
I prayed over the apartment. That weekend I went to the woods to see this “lion.”
The beginning of the woods was normal but as I made my way further there were bones hanging from the trees. They looked like animal bones and I pushed them aside as I made my way through. Eventually, I came to a small clearing. There was a little house there; not much more than a shack. There were sandstone sculptures everywhere. Some were big enough to stand on the ground while others were on makeshift tables. I was met by a thin man of average height named Simon. I explained who I was and talk became more of a chess match than a conversation.
