Early on, and for the first several months, no one knew anyone else was being trained. About half way through the training we did learn about others, mainly on joint training exercises. And that’s where I met Marlboro and DR, and we were all 3 together at Bragg when we asked the Suit how many others there were. The answer surprised us: 15. We were one of 6 3 man teams, and until then we had no idea there were teams, or specialties.
That knowledge combined with the training itself made it easier to understand where we might be headed. Not so much the locations, but the missions. It also meant that as the training got more and more difficult we could understand the necessity and kept looking forward to the new challenges. Very smart people had put it all together and we were not going to make them look bad. In any way.
