“You brought human law enforcement with you?”
Eli folded his arms over his chest. “Pay attention, Nick, she is not human.”
Coming toward me, Nick leaned in. Trent put an arm between us, but I push it away, ignoring the rejection in his eyes. I turn my gaze back onto Nick, who was now inches from my neck, his eyes glazed over as he took in my smell. Not that it was weird or anything. He licked his lips, exposing fangs as he came inches from the vein in my neck. That was when my shadows chose to expose themselves. My eyes turned black and the shadows in the room slid into me, soaking into my skin.
Nick flung himself across the room, his back hitting the wall, knocking dust and chipped pieces of paint everywhere. “You brought a Shadow?” He hissed, spit flying everywhere.
Welcome, crazy psycho man with fangs. “Calm down.” Eli rolled his eyes, earning another hiss from Nick. “She isn’t like the others. However, she is just as deadly.”
“Not like the others? Are you fucking kidding me? She’s a Shadow! They kill any Supernatural. There is no winning with her kind.” He looked towards the office door as he heard some high-pitched laughing. “If the Shadow should kill anyone, it is the man who is about to enter this room.”
Glaring at him, I cross my arms over my chest. “I kill who I want to,” I snap.
