Over the next 2 years, I became “sold out” for God. I stopped hanging out with my unsaved friends because they continued to go to clubs and bars. Yeshua delivered me from drugs and alcohol. I never went to rehab. I put my trust fully in the Lord. God also delivered me from smoking cigarettes.
I started working in Interfaith Medical Center, Continuing Day Treatment Center, as a recreation therapist. I taught smoking cessation, self-esteem, coping skills and wellness to the clients served. On the weekends, I would evangelize on the boardwalk with some friends from my congregation. I started up a group each Saturday after Shabbat. We saw healings and people set free each week.
My goal was to lead as many souls to the Lord as possible. I wanted people to come to know Yeshua in a personal way as I did.
I attended all the feasts at my congregation. We celebrate Chanukah, Yom Kippur, Rosh Hashanah, and many other holidays that are more Jewish. My favorite was Purim because I admired Esther in the book of Esther. She had boldness to save the Jewish people from Haman. Boldness was something I lacked. I was bullied a lot growing up and felt rejected in my home. This was something from which God still had to free me.
